    Smile Pike as regionals?

I don't know if this would cause model issues, but I was thinking, would it not be realistic if Makedon and Epiros recruit pantodapoi phalagnitai in the east, and Arche, Ptolemaioi and Baktria recruit Phalangitai Deuteroi in Hellas. Also, maybe the Qarthadastim, on conquering Greece, should have acces to some sort of pike, which they used in large, mercenary quantities, so surely if they conquered Hellas then they would recruit pike from the local population?

The exact thought occured to me too! But I think Carthage's regional roster is being enhanced for v9.0 as we speak (at least I hope so...). A increased regional roster for Armeniawould be great too, as they totally rely on type 3 governments, as their type 2 is the smallest in the game, and their type 1 is condensed in... you guess it, Armenia! That's why I added Thureophoroi to their regional barracks. I wanted to do this too with Shipri Tukul, but they share a modell (or was it skin?) with the Nakhararakn Tiknapah...
Edit: Makedonians and Epeiros can build Deuteroi Phalangitai basically everywhere in the east, just look at their recruitment map in the Unit Cards thread. But Pantodapoi would help them out in western Africa, as well as deuteroi would help out Seleucids and Baktrians in greece, and Ptolemys need both as their levy phalangites are only available in eastern Africa...

The Tukuls use the merc skin slot for the model, so no problem there.

Makedon and Epeiros can already recruit Pantodapoi Phalangitai if they get the right provinces. I'm not sure if the Ptolemais or Seleukids can recruit the Deuteroi in mainland Hellas, but I imagine so.

Arkatreide's unit cards prove you wrong. Pantodapoi Phalangitai can only be recruited bySeleucids, Pontos, Bactrians and, by a regional MIC, by Pahlava.

The Deuteroi Phlangitae and Pantodapoi Phalangitai share a model so Epirus and Makedonia can't recruit the latter.

I distinctly recall being able to recruit Pandaptoi Phalangitai with Epirus in Serdike
That might have been a really old version, though - Epeiros also used to be able to recruit standard thureophoroi.

Besides, PD is better than PP and as Maks/Epeirus you can recruit PD wherever PP could be recruited. So huzzah!

I really wish all Greek factions could have both (especially Mak recreating Alexander and replacing loses with eastern troops trained to fight with pike), but, as was said:

...and successors can't recruit the former.

I thought models could have two skins per faction though?
