    Question a problem wit "DATABASE_TABLE"

Hello. I have just installed EB (after having installed a clean RTW and patches 1.2, 1.3 and 1.5), but it doesn't work.

When I try to launch the program, it just crashes after a few seconds, saying an error message:

"DATABASE_TABLE error found: max records exceeded file data/descr_event_images.txt"

I've found and opened that file, but I can't understand where is the error and what to do about it.

    Can anyone help me?

p.s. perhaps the problem is that my RTW is italian and not english?

Never seen this one before... Please make a backup of your RTW directory and try to install once more. Also, you could post the file in question (both the one under RTW/Data and under RTW/EB/Data) so someone can compare to their version.

I'll try to install everything again and see what happens. If it will not work, i'll post the two files.

Hrm. I have seen this before, but only in the context of a bad install (at least in the English language versions). I know it's a real pain but I recommend uninstalling and trying again from scratch. Just to make sure it's not a Vanilla patch issue, when you get it to 1.5 try loading Vanilla and starting a campaign. If that works, quit out of the program. That way you'll know the error occurred between the 1.5 patch and the EB installation, if it occurs again.

Bovi, do we have a step-by-step installation guide up somewhere? I think this might be one of the rarer install errors, I just don't remember what causes it.

Yes, there's a sticky detailing how to install EB.
