ai siege attack

does the ai ever attack your castles? in my game all they do is siege untill i send an army from elsewhere or sally forth!!!

They probably attack with a small army or your army inside is to strong so they try to starve you out.........

They won´t attack recklessly, but I´ve had quite a number of defensive battles, so they do happen. If you want a higher chance for a defensive battle, use very weak garrisons, but position an army next to the castle when it´s besieged (don´t attack the besieging army, though). This army will come onto the field as reinforcements and, as a rule, you can get it into the walls to bolster the garrison.
