A ha ha! Rainbows and unicorns! Rainbows and unicorns!
Yeah, like Swiss watches, the same way as the campaigns you get with the original download. I have no idea what your problem could be, but the Wesnoth forum has a large tech assist section and it is active. Give it a try?Originally Posted by Xehh II

Just installed it and played the tutorial and the first two mission of the first campaign. Fun Game ! Reminds me a lot of Fire Emblem (which from what I've seen so far is still slightly superior). too bad ranged attacks don't mean you can attack from a hexagonal away though, archers feel kind of useless so far.
EDIT: Do any of the included or extra campaign allow you to play the bad guys ? Orcish or undead invaders ? That could be a whole lot of fun...

If you guys have the development version (1.3 something) instead of the stable version, there are a few "bad guy" campaigns already installed, even though they're just the add-ons.
Anyone else notice that more experience my units get, the less damage they seem to do and more they seem to die?![]()
ah nope, the exp they get the more damage they do, although the enemy targets them first so they die easy if you send them alone or poorly supported but with a lot of rookies around them they do tons of damage , just let the vetran damage em to death and let the rookie finish them off.Originally Posted by Alexander the Pretty Good
In my head I know that, it just feels like that dang little orc "has better odds" against my level 2 Marksman while he routinely is slain by my level 1 archer.
That's it, if the rookies are supported by a Captain (Elvish, Desert or otherwise) they do 25% more damage at any time of the day, and this really works out. Cap'n smacks 16 points off the orc, rookie No 1 scores another 6 and rookie No 2 makes the kill and gets the XP. Repeat dose until another Captain (or Hero) is born.Originally Posted by darkragnar

What I find really frustrating is one of those rounds where none of your muppets really hits an enemy. You surround a troll with six of your own and none of them lands a single hit..
