I've been watching and reading the forums here for years. (I think sometime between Shogun and MTW came out.) Finally took the plunge and registered.

Want to say that I appreciate all the information and especially the thankless work the moderators do. (I do that stuff for another website) You guys run a tight ship and it shows.

Anyways, just wanted to say Hi so that "please post of the first time" feature will change. (Great idea by the way. )

I think I am a true lurker. I guess I just figure you guys are the experts, why clog your forums with my questions that have already been asked and answered 4 times over. The search feature enabled for non-registered people is what kept me lurking.

Promotion to full membership isn't really based on the number of posts you have. It's more determined by the *quality* of yours posts, not quantity; your overall participation & attitude are factors as well. Basically, just continue being the pleasant individual you are, and you should be promoted in a few weeks or so.

In fact, the game-related fora have been open to junior members for some time now, it's just the miscellaneous that require promotion (and for Tavern Backroom access you need to apply as well, but that's usually just a formality).

You needn't worry about posting in the guides forums at all, mate -- if that were a requirement for full membership, we would have a *lot* more people who were still junior members! Seriously, though, feel free to post wherever wish. As Ludens has just pointed out (which I should've done myself), most forums here are actually open to junior members; only the message boards in the Miscellaneous section require full membership to participate.

The gameroom is one of the three divisions of the tavern, a members only location way at the bottom of the forum (considering the backroom, its for a good reason...) The mafia is just the most popular game series in the gameroom, and has been for a good year. There are always new ones, and there are always seats available. When you are promoted, you should come check it out.

Don't worry Daaraa! It's quite easy to get playing mafia games in the Gameroom without having to pay Ichigo huge sums of money. While you are a Junior Member though, you have to get yourself a promotion first. You can do this nice and quickly by simply sending a Private Message to Sasaki Kojiro who will also place you in the game of your selection, which has to be in the sign-up phase.

Once you are in the game, and promoted, simply play away and enjoy every second of it!

That would be funny. So if someone wanted to beat that they'd have to start now and lurk for 6 years or already be lurking and just waiting.

Pretty sure it was six years. I know it was before the attacks in NY and Shogun had been out for less than a year.
