Thread: Character Destroyed Unintentionally by Script.

Default Character Destroyed Unintentionally by Script.

I downloaded the mod v.81a to check it out a couple weeks ago- I had my first chance to play some this evening. Regrettably whenever I tried to land a Ptolemaioi general outside an enemy settlement he was transported to Jerusalem- presumably by some script. Unfortunately, if I land the rest of my army first (they can land without transport), then try to exchange him, he is transported to Jerusalem but destroyed in the process. The character selection screen says he's in Jerusalem, the unit readout for that city says he isn't. He isn't dead either.

.Sav file here. Hope you guys found this one already, otherwise good hunting.

Thank you for your report. I think this is a unique bug, can't remember hearing of its like before. It shouldn't break your campaign though, so enjoy further conquering .

Well yeah except for the fact that the general I married off to my only remaining princess three turns ago has been sucked into oblivion ;)

Is the summons back to Jerusalem a bug as well or do you guys have a thing against naval invasions?

I have never heard of it. Actually the only character we ever move in the script is called Skepas, which makes it very odd indeed.

And Skepas is from Epeiros too...

Obviously you've tried this already, but could you wait a turn and then select another general and use the tiny chevrons < and > to scroll through your FM tree till you find him?

As I said the game claims he is within the city of Jerusalem when you cycle through to him, but his unit card is not. He can't be moved out of the city either.

Have you tried moving him with a cheat? (move_character) If you do so, he may be invisible (as all characters that are in cities but moved outside with cheats), but on the spot you moved him, just click on that spot and move him in and out of a settlement and he will be visible.
