    Default first roman reforms?

I have all the requirments for the first roman reforms and I still don't have polybian troops. The faq said upgrade your mic is that supposed to be my barracks. Also am I supposed to upgrade my barracks or destroy my barracks and rebuild it. I am very confused on how to get reforms.

All you need to do it upgrade your barracks. If you have a new 'building' in your towns that's picture says 'Polybian Reforms' you know that you've got the reforms and you can upgrade your barracks.

Yes, if they take two settlements in Sicily and two settlement in north Italia. Then whenever they get around to upgrading their barracks. You might see AI Polybian units around 200BC, if the Romans still hold Italia.

Personlay I alter the script whenever I play a non Romanii campign so that the AI has the polybians in 245bc, the marians in 170bc and the imperials in 150bc. Right now I am in 243 of a Qarthadastim campaign and sincerly regreting that I didn't put them off for a few more years...

I'm almost tempted to conquer territories and sell them to the Romans just so that I can get to fight them at their full strength.

I'm absoutly desperate to fight them properly.
At the moment they are recruiting highly disicplined and well armored Celtic units, but still no sign of the famous legionary.

Have you activated the script everytime you start or load a new game?

Its really amazing how people can ignore Advisor for so many turns.
I mean he is very persistent and annoying. To get rid of him You just have to read what he is saying once.

Thankfully EB2 allows us to load scripts automatically. Personally I think we need to do up a turn 1 event as well that just says "LOAD THE SCRIPT EVERY TIME YOU START THE GAME, PERIOD." It's easy to miss if you don't get in the habit of doing it from the beginning - the advisor just gets clicked away as an annoyance without being read.

Every time you start a new game or load a saved game, click on a city you own, the advisor will pop up, click on him, then click the 'show me how' button. The script should be loaded. (If the activating the script transports you to AD14, then click on another town and repeat.)

Since you have played so long without the script, it would be best if you start a new campaign.

    Oh for crying out loud.

So basically in order to get those reforms you have to load up the script every turn by slapping that annoying advisor with the cursor?

Probably not, you've missed a lot of things, which will improve your game if you start from the beginning.

    Ugh...

Is it possible to just like, change the script or something to how it would be if it had actually had all these reforms?

Yes, but the problem is you will miss all the force diplomacy areas, the AI money scripts, (I'm willing to bet that at least 3 small facions are dead), you will get transported back to 227bc... the list of problems is endless, as somebody said, you are not playing eb, you are playing a vannila campign on an eb map with eb units and buildings, not a proper eb campaign.

Ok, very depressing. I guess I'll just start again. Maybe I'll play the Arverni, I am quite fond of those dandy swan helmets.
