Gold edition problem

This could have been asked before and I wasent sure where to post, bu anyways. Is there any way to play mods on RTW 1.5? Its automaticly patched and no mods work. Can i un-patch it to 1.2 or something?
I have googled it but I found no solutions. Please respond if you know anything.

Well mods that are still designed for 1.2 won't work, but there are actually more mods designed for 1.5 than 1.2 now anyway, even things like RTR which still have a 1.2 version also have one for 1.5. Exactly what were you trying to install?

Anyway I don't think you can go back, even if you could persuade the 1.2 patch to install onto it that wouldn't necessarily undo all the changes made by 1.5 so you could still be missing some earlier versions of files.

Well I'm trying to install this: http://videogames.yahoo.com/predownload?eid=373875. Sometimes it seems like the gold edition is built another way or something. Well I just installed RTW after getting a new computer, and I think this might be another mod than the one I tried to install before that didnt work (that was half a year ago) and im downloading it right now. Maybe this one works.

And the username? you mean Um...? I just wrote what I was thinking. Im not creative.

No it didnt work, it was 1.2. And their homepage is gone so I cant contact them and they didnt leave any e-mail adress in the readme either. Wish it was 1.5.

You're right that mod is definitely for 1.2 and you have picked the one type of thing (warhammer) that I don't think there is a 1.5 mod for. Someone was doing one but I don't think it got completed (?).

Not really same thing but for fantasy mods for 1.5 there is
Blue Lotus - which is in hosted section here,
For Barbarian Invasion v1.6 that I think comes with gold:

Just a reminder (for um... mostly) that not all Gold Editions are RTW 1.5/BI 1.6; some are 1.3/1.4. So be sure to check that out.

In response to Mak, there is a Warhammer Total War for RTW 1.5. Jubal Barca is still going strong, and I am sure it will be released. Wait for that to come out Um..., it will be sure to please.

Im trying End of days and Forth age then, that last thing looks like much work.

And Aradan, it is 1.5 and 1.6, i checked.
