I'm trying really hard to figure out whether his statements are bigotted/racist, but I'm failing. Is there something about being a Senior Member that logically prompts a joke/pun about Hispanics? Similarity between señor and senior, perhaps? That can't be it because the two words aren't pronounced the same at all. Help, please?

I was going to make an old person joke but I thought that would be offensive.

I'd go further. Make him a mod in the backroom.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

Sack the current Backroom mods and put DevDave, Kafir, Navaros and Tribesy in charge.

... but they ARE spelt the same if your keyboard has no tilde, no?? [/needless nitpicking]

DevDave, Kafir, Navaros and Tribesy in charge - hmmm - how long would it be before every thread in there was locked, and would they be able to unlock each others locks?

I can see it now, on entering the backroom:

Why would anyone want senior membership? Is regular membership not good enough (for you)? Is this an ego issue? What I read here thus far looks tongue-in-cheek, but I still have to ask.

Can mods ban/warn eachother? If so, I'm completely and totally for making Daveyboy and a few of the others listed backroom mods. "You smell that son? I love the smell of Instagib in the morning."

    Aw, guys!

It all started as a joke, if I'm correct about Caius Flaminius turning into Garcilaso de la Vega el Inca!!!!

(no one is paid to post here, I think)

I do join other advices, what's so important in the title you have, as long as you can do what's important for you in the forum? This is internet (virtual world), and in addition, a forum about games (e.g. having fun)!

Trust me: About the only "benefit" to being a senior member is people just joke about how old and decrepit you are now. If I'd known that at the time, I probably would've refused the honorific -- I could already get enough of that ribbing here as much as I wanted and more, thank you.
