    Default Memory Lane

I was upacking boxes from my old house to place in the new, and found an old CD which contained a incomplete version of the old Ugli website. In it, you will find out who was Ugli back then (though the list isn't complete in this version), some members' pics (including Major Dump for those who know him from here), a few tall tales (by Major Dump and myself), and even the precursor of the latest version of the honor society code of honor.

I hope this brings back memories for those of you around during those times, and gives other newer players a hint at what it was like then. We weren't always the curmudgeons you see today.

It brought a smile to my face as I was going through the pages and remembering some old friends.

Then you must not be the same TosaInu which played in those campaigns or your memory is not very good of the events of that time. Are you one of the others, on staff, who take over as the acting TosaInu when the original is away?

That TosaInu joined Ugli so he could play in the MP campaign. Amazingly the site was public, well-known, and well visited for quite awhile and you never stated anything to the contrary . . . until now? Interesting you choose now to forget, especially given my opposing views on M2 MP, the unrelenting attacks by the same individual(s) on players and threads which state they enjoy the new MP game, and recent PMs I have received (from some) when pointing out the fact some in the .org community may be acting a bit immature by continually bashing the new game.

NOTE: Most who joined ugli never used an Ugli name, but were given one for the membership list. These were given to avoid problems with the clans, since we were/are not a clan and anything one did as an Ugli could not reflect back on one's clan. It was/is open to all who wanted to be a member. Quite a few of the Ugli's didn't use a recognizable name and only myself and Obake know their true identities. It would surprise a lot of the old vets to know exactly who was an undercover Ugli. All were asked before assigning them an Ugli name for the list. Whether you choose to deny such is fine Tosa and if you have a problem with it, I will gladly remove yours and any other's name from the old website, if you so desire.

PS: The "2-turn campaign" remark is misleading, and I think a subtle insult (since it serves no other purpose in your post than to belittle), which (in my opinion) is unbecoming of an admin, who is supposed to be neutral and unbiased. I can provide the exact history of that first MP campaign -- which reflects badly on a couple of well-known, and formerly respected, members of the .org -- if you like. I still have the old forum posts where two certain individuals showed their true personalities when they were outsmarted by RazorStrike. It was the main reason for the ending of the first MP campaign. I declared Strike the winner since -- he didn't break any of the rules and he had a commanding lead. Everyone agreed on Strike as the winner, except for two certain individuals who became quite distraught. Even making accusations of favoritism by myself (the host). The conversations that followed, in the forum, were very "interesting" to say the least.

I could also bring in a few old players, like Strike, Obake, Hammy etc . . to help provide details of what actually occurred during this time, if it will help refresh everyone's memories.

Not all memories are good of that time. Everyone had their moments where they lost all good sense, but some choose to forget their past indiscretions and pretend they never happened.
