    Default Best female band

You have read correctly: tell me what the best female band is. I assume not many exist, but my assumption is ill-founded.
Emotion, passions, and desires are, thus peace is not.
Emotion: you have it or it has you.

Can't think of many all female or mostly female bands. I think a 'band' must mostly be a guy thing.

Oh come on think a little

The best has to be Joan Jett and the Runaways

    The Runaways - Wasted 1977

    The Runaways - Cherry Bomb

Notice Lita Ford on lead guitar at 16. On bass Micki Steele , later the bass player for the Bangles another great female band.

I mean who could ever forget

Bangles - Walk Like an Egyptian
A timeless classic video. And talk about hot lead singers.

    A great cover of

The Bangles Hazy shade of winter

    How about Bananrama?

There are quite a few girl bands in Finland, but well, meh. Things like Nylon Beat, PMMP, Indica and Ultra Bra. Mostly pop or pop-rock. Nothing disturbingly Britney Spears, thank God.

So is ABBA lol. In that case you could count Heart. But thats not the case. Throw in Fleetwood Mac then as well.

Have you been possessed by SFTS

But that reminds me of an incredible girl band. In fact the best Ive seen in years.

The heck with Dixie Chicks how about Celtic Women instead?

Celtic Woman - A New Journey - Mo Ghile Mear

You probably know this one from Josh Groban
Celtic Woman - You Raise Me Up

No they dont play all the instruments but they do play some instruments somewhere during the show. And so easy on the eyes.

    Celtic Woman - the Voice

She sure is. And those celtic drums.

Damn now Im gonna be up another hour or two watching all the videos of these incredible women. Makes me proud to have some Irish blood in me.

    Gah one more

Celtic Woman - A New Journey - Spanish Lady

I've always had a soft spot for L7.

Luscious Jackson had some great tracks.

But all-time best female band? Cibo Matto, no contest, at least for the lemur. How can anyone ever top a band that screams "Extra salt! Extra oil! Extra sugar! MSG!" Some of their better (meaning weirder) songs:

    Beef Jerky

    Know Your Chicken

    Sugar Water

I can't say I disagree with you. But I still like Cibo Matto better.

Are you saying you dont like lesbian school girls? They dont call this the kingdom of peace and love for nothing Lemur. If you cant be tolerant of others lifestyles and choices you can leave.

It broke my heart when they dropped the schoolgirl part of the act. I mean, Muscovite faux-lesbian schoolgirl europop I can get down with. But Muscovite faux-lesbian europop sans schoolgirl outfits? no way. I cannot cross that line.

    T.A.T.U. maybe.

About the only casting band I ever liked are the No Angels, they made songs like:

    Daylight In Your Eyes

    Feel Good Lies

Not great, but not bad either.
