Wierd problem with my computer

EDITED: Nevermind - problem solved I have re_installed it completely for the second time today and it works. (I Have no idea why it didnt worked after first re_installation though)

I have played EB 081av2 final for some time without any problems, but yesterday and today strange problem has occured. I am pretty sure that it has nothing to do with EB mod, but something is wrong with my comp.

I will try to describe the problem now. Everytime (since yesterday) I try to run EB or Rome Total war then the first screen appear (in case of RTW even the animation movie) but then as a next screen there is the "loading meter" ( that moving line) and the problem is that that loading line moves behind the point were it normally should move and as it reaches the end of loading meter it continues deformed at the end of right side of my monitor and that's it - nothing happens after it. I could wait for ages but there is still the same image of the bankrupt loading screen and I cant even get out of it by using ctrl+alt+delete.

Any ideas what could be the proble? And what should I do with it?

Something I have just discovered: As I said previously it will not let me start clean Rome total war or Europa Barbarorum but somehow I am able to play Barbarian Invasion. (I have Rome total war Gold)

Yeah you bet that I enjoy this mod. Europa Barbarorum is without doubt the best game I have ever played. I could even say that I am EB junkie - really I have to play it every day (at least for an hour), needless to say that it is ruining my social life. But what the heck my social life never was as enjoyable for me as playing EB.

I am recently playing Aedui campaig the year is 201 BC an I own area of all today's France, all of Ireland (general who conquered it was declared as a High King of Goidils), south and part of middle Briton, couple of provinces in northern Iberia (general who had couple of great victories there against Carthago recieved personal oath from Iberian warriors) and so on.

Really wonderful game. And when the next build of EB is out - I will play for Pontus (their new general and bodyguards looks great)

I've just had the same problem Bactron. How did you fix/get around it?

You have to uninstall EB then uninstal Rome:total war. Restart your computer then install Rome total war then download EB from this page (you have to download it again even if you still have that original download in your computer) then install the EB. Restart your computer. And now it should work with no problems.

That seems to have sorted it.

Anyone have any thoughts on why it's happening? It took a couple of hours to uninstall & re-install everything so a quicker cure would be appreciated if it happens again.
