    Default Re: Romano Brittish

    Yes you can do that yourself, you need to alter export_descr_buildings.txt, descr_regions.txt and descr_strat.txt.

    In export_descr_buildings.txt & descr_regions.txt just find every instance of "britain" which is the hidden resource that controls their emergence. Change each instance to something different eg. "notbritain" (use the same something different throughout). That will stop you having any problem with CTD's if there emergence is triggered whilst they are already on map.

    Descr_strat.txt is more complicated. Before you start modding decide which settlements you want them to own - find the co-ordinates of the cities using rome shell command show_cursorstat
    Delete the dead_until_resurrected
    line from below romano_british entry. Cut and paste the settlements you want to give them from which ever faction currently owns them into their section. Change the co-ordinates of the other factions armies that were in those cities so they no longer occupy them, and add at least one romano_british army to their section. To check it loads you can just have a faction leader with no family but you will need to add family tree section and probably more armies later. so you should end up with something like:

    faction romano_british, balanced caesar
    denari 5000

    settlement
    {
    level large_town
    region region_name

    year_founded 20
    population 2050
    plan_set default_set
    faction_creator romano_british
    building
    {
    type core_building governors_villa
    }
    building
    {
    type defenses wooden_wall
    }
    building
    {
    type market trader
    }
    building
    {
    type hinterland_roads roads
    }
    }
    character valid rb male name, named character, leader, age 45, , x 136, y 21

    army
    unit valid rb unit exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit valid rb unit exp 0 armour 0 0
    Look in the romano_british section of descr_names.txt to find valid leader names and in the export_descr_unit.txt file for units that can be built by the romano_british.

    Follow normal advice and read any relevant tutorials in the scriptorium, make back up copies of all your files before starting and ALWAYS use -show_err on your desktop shortcut. Good luck and welcome to the forums.
