    Default Faction-specific buildings

    I originally started this list for my own purposes, to help me decide which faction to choose when starting a new campaign for the 19583256th time, but I figured you guys might find it usefull as well. This is a list of all buildings that are only available to certain factions, and their effect.

    Military Academy
    Who : France, Spain, England, Portugal
    Where : cities
    What it does : train some faction-specific units, gives command-related traits and ancillaries to governors.

    Race Track
    Who : Moors, Turks, Egypt
    Where : cities
    What it does : allows training cav in cities, boosts pop. happiness, gives cav. related traits to governors

    Hospital
    Who : Moors, Turks, Egypt
    Where : cities
    What it does : public health bonus, unit retraining cost bonus, physician ancillary to governors

    Artist Studio
    Who : Venice, Milan, Sicily
    Where : cities
    What it does : boost to pop. happiness, gives traits+ancils to governors (some good, some bad)

    Bullring
    Who : Portugal, Spain
    Where : cities
    What it does : same as Racetrack

    Banks
    Who : Venice, Milan, HRE
    Where : cities
    What it does : huge bonus to trade, adds merchant recruiting slots

    Printers
    Who : HRE, Poland
    Where : cities, needs "first printing press" event
    What it does : bonus to happiness and trade

    Iconographer
    Who : Russia, Byzantium
    Where : cities
    What it does : health bonus, boosts religious conversion, gives traits (some good, some bad)

    Health
    Who : Byzantium
    Where : cities
    What it does : health bonus, pop. growth, gives traits (some good, some bad)

    Music
    Who : France
    Where : cities
    What it does : boosts pop. happiness

    Tourney Field
    Who : France, England, HRE, Spain, Portugal
    Where : castles
    What it does : boosts gov. chivalry, boosts knight valor, boosts pop. happiness

    Castle Academia
    Who : Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Scotland
    Where : castles
    What it does : allows training agents in castles, gives out traits and ancillaries to governors throughout faction

    Caravans
    Who : Moors
    Where : castles
    What it does : boosts trade, allows recruiting camels

    Admiralty
    Who : Denmark, England, Portugal
    Where : cities
    What it does : boosts ship valor, decrease ship building costs, gives ancillaries to admirals

    Are you sure that the Scots get castle academia in vanilla?
    In my opinion some of those buildings are of little use. If I recall the Portuquese do not even get any units from military academy. I have no hope of seeing printers in my games as the event comes so late...
    One more thing... Where is admiralty building? The Danes, English and Portuquese get it.

    Ah, you're right, forgot the admiralty. Thanks for reminding me !

    And yes, I'm pretty sure the Scots get the academia, I've just rechecked to make sure I wasn't using LTC's file when making the list.
    And the military academy is good even for Portuguese, because they fork out StrategicSkill and ancillaries to governors spending time there, which is doubly good : (a) a passing fighter can become even better, (b) a pure governor who spent all his life making sure taxes are Very High in the region will have at least a few stars in case of invasion and siege.
