Omine-san, you have made some good points about movement and most of us have probably thought one time or another that unit's could move a little easier.
One thing I have noticed with MTW over STW is the way units wait for others to move out of the way before moving to intended position. I am sure in STW it just used to be a complete free-for-all amongst your soldiers. Now it's a traffic jam.
Try the move while maintaing face command to ease movement, can't remember actual keys but maybe alt(or ctrl) and left-click.
This will be especially useful in MTW as turning your back on archers is not a good idea.
'When a unit outnumbers an enemy unit , the back rows can optionally flow around the engaged front rows and engulf the enemy.'
You can achieve this and it is especially useful with cavalry to maximise charge and flank benefits. String your unit wider than enemy unit then instead of ordering attack, order your unit to move to a location past the enemy. Then as your unit is almost upon enemy, order the attack.
With Cavalry the centre engages and the sides wrap around.
Try a custom battle in STW with HC against YS both equal honour. You should be able to win using this method with HC. Fight normally and you will lose. Use the ironing board map of course.
