Well there is your problem Your out of syncAnyway, it's really a matter of taste. I used to really love Floyd, and Dark Side was my favorite album ever, followed closely by Wish You Were Here. Then one day I discovered true psychedelic music (before that, the only psych-rock I had was the first Doors album) and all the sudden, Floyd seemed to lose their lustre. I mean, sure, they're great at being grandiose and creating huge, complex songs, but after a while that stuff gets old. Sometimes, you just need to make some plain old good music; that's what the punk bands realized, and that's why the pervasive sound nowadays is simple, albeit terrible (it would be a lot better if the bands nowadays knew how the hell to write music.)![]()
I gw up listening to all this stuff in the order it was made. Im just the opposite, I used to love the Doors. Now their just so so. I even like Zep better now. I never liked DSM that much. Wish you were here is their best work IMO. And again their are no better bands today. If the groups of the 60s had the equipment we have today hold onto your hat. Can you imagine what Hendrix and the Beatles would have come out with?
