First of all, anything with the general sound and ambience of Andres' last posts can assume to blow bigtime. I think we can establish that as a rule.

Second... Nirvana. I have had Kobain forced down my throat for as long as I can remember, not to mention the entire generation of music that followed, and I am sick and tired of listening to their rhythmless, woe-is-me crap.

And no, I do not hate the Beatles. I don't particularly like them, but on the other hand, they are miles away from Nirvana. I mean, seriously: in a choice between "All You Need is Love" and Kobain whining and bitching about how mindless his generation is... is there really a contest?

Third... The Grateful Dead. Because their music sucks, and way too many hippies think they are the greatest band to ever walk the face of the earth. Hey, I got news for you... Jerry Garcia cannot pull off a solo. he can't; I'm sorry. Don't believe me? Listen to the Airplane jamming. Jorma Kaukonen blows Garcia away.

Fourth... that band whose music video is playing in "Hollywood Video" ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME. The one where the lead singer (and guitar, maybe?) is wearing that stupid looking mod hat... is it Fall Out Boy or something? Jesus, I'm way outta touch. Anyway, I hate to single them out, but it's just the latest and most annoying version of the same Kobain-spawned crap that is ruining music.

Fifth... Pink Floyd, after "Dark Side." Frankly, they should have gone with their instincts and just broken up after "Dark Side", because after that their music becomes painful to listen to. Every album after the mediocre "Dark Side" is exponentially worse, until we come to "The Final Ripoff Cut" which, frankly, should have been locked in a vault deep beneath the Earth, never to be heard again. And then set on fire. (By the way, I don't even consider anything after Waters left to be real Pink Floyd, any more than the Doors are the Doors sans Morrison.)

Bad Europop. I'm leaving open the option that there's good Europop somewhere, despite the lack of evidence.

    -edit-

    And, of course, Steven Segal.

Like I said... that's just their problem.

Anyway, it's really a matter of taste. I used to really love Floyd, and Dark Side was my favorite album ever, followed closely by Wish You Were Here. Then one day I discovered true psychedelic music (before that, the only psych-rock I had was the first Doors album) and all the sudden, Floyd seemed to lose their lustre. I mean, sure, they're great at being grandiose and creating huge, complex songs, but after a while that stuff gets old. Sometimes, you just need to make some plain old good music; that's what the punk bands realized, and that's why the pervasive sound nowadays is simple, albeit terrible (it would be a lot better if the bands nowadays knew how the hell to write music.)

And in case you're wondering, the main reason I still like Atom Heart Mother is because of the B-side, with all the folkish music (although Atom Heart Mother itself is still a cool song... kinda reminds me of Mad Max.)

Well there is your problem Your out of sync

I gw up listening to all this stuff in the order it was made. Im just the opposite, I used to love the Doors. Now their just so so. I even like Zep better now. I never liked DSM that much. Wish you were here is their best work IMO. And again their are no better bands today. If the groups of the 60s had the equipment we have today hold onto your hat. Can you imagine what Hendrix and the Beatles would have come out with?

I hate all bands in general. I don't like singers much either. That's not to say I don't like music. I would argue I like music more than anyone else here, as anyone else who likes music would I'm sure. I really just like individual songs and most of the time I prefer not to know who sang them.

As to my taste in music, I tend to enjoy songs like "How to save a life" by The Fray. "Take me higher" is good aswell by Creed I think. Those would be the first 2 songs which jump into my head. My musical taste is much wider than the mentioned songs might suggest, although I do know why these are the 2 I think about first. It's because of where I was or what I was watching when I first heard them. Particularly the Creed song, which I saw in this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opAEOVoghAA which is a good mix with the song.

The Sound and the feeling created by the sound is all that matters when it comes to music. Bands, names of bands, members of bands, attitudes of bands, spoils the music for me personally, unless they are quiet and dont do much interviews, like actors and movies(stories, not movies actually).

Oh my goodness. I'd not seen this before. Media restriction has worked absolute wonders in reducing my stress levels, but I do miss some good chuckles. While I certainly don't hate this song or Steven Segal, I find it funny and interesting that he would do this. Then again, he is a man focused on Spirit, and in the public eye, and music is an expression of Soul. I see nothing wrong with him doing a tune, making a video, and putting it out there. It's not hard to imagine why he did it.

I've seen and heard far, far, worse. But no, I can't say that I "liked" this. It was entertaining for a moment though.

I don't particularly 'hate' any bands, but there are a few notable ones that I dislike. Sorry guys, I'm another Beatles non-fan, probably because my mom killed them for me when I was little by listening to that crap over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over..

I do like rap, but not the current crop of . It started to really suck in the late 90's, esp. with DMX who was/is horrible. The older stuff, late 80's early to mid 90's is great.

Don't particularly care for Indie music at all, or that emo stuff. /shrug

Perhaps one thing that I try not to let influence me but it often does, is stuff/music that people get snobby about or have really obnoxious fans. Like Indie music. Just because you listen to something that maybe 5 other people do, doesn't make you an exclusive elitist or a friggin' connoisseur there dude.

    Easy:

    1. Nirvana
    2. Anything emo
    3. Anything which has no singing only screaming, ie death metal

    1. Kurt. Cobain.....i hate him, he's overrated and his music was rubbish...i cant say i hate nirvana because i'm a big fan of Dave Grohl (the drummer who was later to become the front man of the foo fighters)

    2. Emo music....get a life, and some guy's clothes.

    3. Scissor Sisters...why cover Comfortably numb? why?! and so badly?

    A white (and Lebanese?) Prince?

I actually think this stuff is funny. Ah well. I reserve my racist irrational hatred for hip hop because it shows taste to do so. And emo; because hating on emo is popular. And the Beatles. Hating the Beatles makes you even smarter than those people who like the Beatles.

Well, IMO Relax is a beautiful, actually relaxing song. The one you posted seems a bit cheesy, but since I know Relax, I have to disagree. I think I also know another nice song from him, so...

Dark Side is *anything but* mediocre.

I'm among the leagues of those apathetic to the Beatles. I don't hate their music, I just don't like most of it.

    Anyhow

    1. Jamie T. I would shoot that Londoner if I had legal immunity.

    3. Mozart (OK, not really a band, but anyway).
