I was wondering has anyone played the game combat mission Arika corps it looks quite interesting possibbly on the same kind of level as say Take command has anyone had any experience with this game? Basically is it any good?

If you can get the hang of the camera and don't mind that its turn based, it's great. The demo is anyway.

It's far from Take Command. It requires a lot of patience and time. It is turn based in which you do your movements and then click "Go" and watch the "action" and you get to witness the consequences of what you just did whether it was sending a platoon to their deaths, or scaring the sh*t out of your enemy with a beautifully timed ambush. The Combat Mission games are the best strategy turn-based games on the market are definitely worth the money. Afrika Corps is very good and the latest until Combat Mission Shock Force comes out in late July (about the 27th! Can't wait!).

I loved Combat Mission, buy it cos its great.
I think I've lent mine out but still have CMBB around somewhere, I'll have to dig around for it.

CMBO...CMBB...CMAK Are all fantastic. Can't say how many hours I've spent just learning the darn thing, but once you get the hang of it...WOW!
