    i have .81v2, should i download the traits typo permanent fix?

    Yes. All permanent fixes should be applied as they are found.

    I can confirm this from recent experience... :)

    ....no ctds in my sweboz campaign for the past 12 hours playing time.

    My only query was knowing when updates happen, in other games I play they use a script for you to periodically check on updated files, key files specific for that mod..... the only issue here is unoffical mods applied...version control would be a fun task :)

    I've posted it in an announcement in the main forum (quickly sinking to page2), and in the sticky in the tech help subforum that has "try these fixes before posting" in its header. Making automatic updates sounds way too complicated and error-prone due to what you mention, I don't think I want to go there.
