    Default Hard drives

hi guys i just need some advice as im upgrading my system.

i currently have a ide hard drive i believe, is it possible to add a new hard drive but a sata one, can they both be used even tho different or do they need to be the same make, i.e. ide or sata.

and is there a way of telling what h/d i have without opening my tower ?????

If you exactly know what your motherbaord model is, by looking up the specifications of it in the manufacturer's website, it is possible to tell whether you can use SATA or not.

SATA is an integrated feature of motherboards, so you need to make sure of your mobo before making a SATA hdd purchase.

An excellent choice IMHO. Very reliable.

Would get a single 1GB RAM, DDR2, 800MHz. Seems to me the sweet spot, right now. Allows for another upgrade, too.
