So first it were the banks controlling the governments, now it's the oil industry controlling them and if I go ask someone else, the pharma industry controls the world....![]()
I can only find out by making the whole world bow at my feet I guess, now that I have a plan, please excuse me.![]()

There is a simple rule I follow. If a person claims to have a revolutionary idea for free clean energy that "the man" (government, big oil) doesn't want you to know about. It's code for scam.

I do not know for certain, but it is plausible at least that there clip. If you want to look at it using a simple way, then: LOOP money --> power/control --> money --> power/control. If you would then ask the question "Does the oil industry and those in charge of it have significant influence?" the answer would be resounding yes.
I like the clip, Gawain. The technical quality I do not.

Thats the point Im trying to make. Its like the USA of industries. Its the 800lb gorilla that cant help but step all over things. Even without intent. If you want to look at it using a simple way, then: LOOP money --> power/control --> money --> power/control. If you would then ask the question "Does the oil industry and those in charge of it have significant influence?" the answer would be resounding yes.

Mythbusters did a show on free energy once.
They proved that you can generate your own energy very cheaply, less that 1% of what energy companies charge us.
But the FCC, who gets its funds from big oil companies, censored the show even kidnapped the producer until they handed over the master copies.
They them had to re-make the episode and pretend those methods did not work, when in reality they did, just to keep viewers from trying it for themselves.
True story.

I somehow doubt that. Can you provide any credible background material - especially on the alleged method of generating your own energy at 1% of the cost?Originally Posted by Gawain of Orkeny

Let's talk a bit more about hot stone.
If we can heat up water with it to heat up our homes, shouldn't we also be able to heat up water with it to run a power plant? Ok, we might cool everything down and end up on a cold rock, but I'm just asking.![]()

Heres a source that is pretty damn cheap
Energy in Iceland
I wonder if the same is possible with volcanoes.

I would imagine theres an insane amount of energy stored up in there. Also couldnt it help prevent eruptions by relieving pressure and heat?Guess I wasn't the first with that idea then.

Who needs volcanoes , a simple thermal exchange loop will heat your house , you still have to use elctricity to pump , but the savings you make pay for the installation within 5 years max , a lot less than 5 years if you get the government grants for it .Heres a source that is pretty damn cheap
They are getting very popular over here , but then again anything that gets a grant is always popular....well apart from thatching as the grant is completely neutered by the hike in house insurance for thatch .

I do believe that oil companies have a lot of control, but they aren't directly pulling all the strings, the politicians in charge could easily say no if they had a stomach and would stop being selfish.
It's really the most sound advice Pop-Sci ever gave.
That really only works for Iceland. Because of the unique conditions there. Firstly being the small population (around 300k), with 62% living in the metro area of Reykjavik (the capital). Secondly the entire island is a volcanic out cropping. With the ground constantly shifting and trapping water. Which you can then mine to heat your home/get hot water/generate electricity. But it wouldn't work the same anywhere else. I don't even think it could be applied to Hawaii.Originally Posted by Gawain of Orkeny

I ask because it's usually something like that which causes outbursts like this, needless to say I dissagree completely.
