    Default Your ally requests assistance

Have you ever seen that? Please notice that Skionaios is not within reach of the normal reinforcement-area.

In three years or more of RTW this was the first time I saw that. Didn't even know that such is possible. Or is that an EB-feature?

In theory its possible, but due to the mechanics of the RTW map unlikely in most cases. Maybe it takes into account the movement points remaining for your army?

I've gotten it once before in vanilla, I'm pretty sure it takes into account the remaining movement points as Geoffrey suggested. Definitely not an EB feature.

PLZ tell us you said YES!

I got this the 1st time I played EB, and haven't gotten it since. I said NO since I couldn't even defend my borders. But I would LOVE to have seen what might have happened.

Default AW: Your ally requests assistance

I said YES! But it was not very spectactular, the Armenians retreated without fighting.

But the next turn I moved in their harbor, then I was attacked by an armenian full stack of 4 Skythian archers, 1 x horse archers and the rest pantodapoi crap. I had 4 depleted units of Doryphoroi Pontikoi, 1 unit mercenary Phalangitai, plus 4 units steppe riders and 2 units Sarmatian horse archers. I slaughtered them all and got a heroic victory.

Currently I'm besieging their capital. I'm not very interested in Tanais, so I think I'll give it to the Sarmatae. When the Hay are wiped out, I hope the Baktrians will finally ally with me against the Seleukid rest-empire.

I've seen that happen a couple of times- and it's moment like that that I see a glimmer of hope: what RTW could be with its incredible graphics and battle engine AND a smart battlefield and strategy map AI. It is truly awe-inspiring

I have had it happen prolly about 5 times in EB. Usually you can tell where this is most likely to happen if you look around; frex, if you ally with the Ptolies or AS, look to ttheir mutual border and park some units nearby. If you wander enough, you can generally assist your ally.
Most often though I get the computer aiding me. In fact in one of my old Romani campaigns I actually triggered the Lusotann/Carthage war by getting the Luso's to aid me in a battle.

I've had it once I believe. Does it require military access or just an alliance?

Yeah I've had this too, only once though, and at the time I only had an alliance. So I assume thats all you need. However in my years of playing Rome:Total War and the expansion packs its only EVER popped up with me once and that was in Rome Total War. When it popped up I thought, what the hell?
I deffinetly agree that it is a rare occurence!

I've had this about 3 times in a 10 turn period before playing as the koinon hellenes. It was with getai, who are my long term allies with military access both ways, vs sweboz.

I clicked accept both times and nothing happened what so ever. I expected to go into battle or something, but my army was untouched and looks like it wasn't used. Is it a broken feature or am I not noticing something?

I've had that a few times. My personal favorate was when I said yes. We didn't get as far as the battlemap because the enemy retreated. Then my ally attacked me because I was now on his land... I don't help people anymore...

happen to me with Romans, attacking Rebel town Rhegium, i was besiegin and a half full stack of carthagos come to the Scylla "strait" and stay near town, i try to attack the town and they are in the pre-battle screen, also they help a lot, with elephant destroing the gate and his army swarm inside, we met at the town centre and kill anyone oppose the alliance :D

as result i and as greeting i delay the punic war, avoiding entering in sicily.

    :D
