How can you get 3ds Max
Cos isn't it really expensive

There is a 30 day trial - but consensus seems to be that that doesn't give enough time to learn anything useful.

I think you might be able to get a student version IF you are a student.

Gmax is free and will open the cas files with Vercingetorix's script - but can't export in the right format for the game. There was some talk about trying to get a script for Milkshape3D (the one they've used for M2TW models) - think they might be as far as importing but not exporting as well.

Actually cheaper solution would be buy M2TW and use Milkshape3D to mod for that instead......


Could we get a definitive answer on this - as question seems to come up once a week!
