I thought the trait is there to avert his destiny by not allowing Hieron to venture away from the safety of his home town. Is it so or is Hieron's days over because of that certain bug?Originally Posted by Kralizec

Eleutheroi generals who've been bribed along with a settlement always die the next turn for some mysterious reason, at least in my campaigns. Other people have noticed it too, and AFAIK the EB team hasn't identified the cause yet.Originally Posted by Puupertti Ruma
Hiero is doing well and and he is still alive. And by now he serves as my puppet for more than 15 years, providing me his greek troops for my campaigns against Carthago. I have never heared about this problem with dying eluthori general, It never happened to me. Altough I must say that Hiero was the first and only dude I have bribed so far in EB.
