The first picture was pure luck

The second picture was taken when I tried to kill the last bad guy who refused to die and was running circles around the square

Maybe after people saw one or two of the entries, they just said, "Screw it." and will horde their images for another time...

Would make little sense to hoard. At a rate of 1 submission per month, you have quite a few EB battles a month to get pics from.

Perhaps people have a defeatist attitude about the quality of their pictures in comparison with the posted ones?
