Quickfix patches / game crashes

I´m playing EB v0.81a Final (v2), downloaded from your official webside. Is it necessary to download the quickfix-patches too (and install them, of course) or are they included in the 0.81av2-version?
My running game sometimes aboards, but only if really big battles (with 3-4 full stack armies, for example) are taking place. The strange thing is that the game crashes after completion of the battle, whilst the general map is (re)loaded.

v0.81av2 contains all that is needed and does not require any patches. There is one typo fix you can download, but it isn't necessary and isn't really a patch.

The thing about crashing after battles is probably the reinforcement CTD. In EB 0.7x it was the biggest bug in the game and happen all the time. Currently it has been reduced greatly and shouldn't happen too many times. If it does happen for a particular battle, you can try refighting the battle and it probably won't happen again. If you don't want to do that or it crashes again, you can always you auto calc (or auto_win) to resolve the battle. After playing 0.7x for so long, I avoid as many battles that include more than two armies as much as I can.

Install the typo fix just in case. If you get a persistent crash, please post the savegame.
