Work, Girlfriend, Responsibilities, Reality, Kids, and MTW - all things in life make life worth living.

    Edit October 17th, 2007
Work-Still hate it but I appreciate having it more now.
Girlfriend - ? - looks like I am helping Nga now. Miss sex though.
Responsibilities, Too many bills to too little money
    Reality - (Censored)
Kids - My son is improving a little bit each day, still far behind but I may have more kids in the future.
MTW - Kingdoms installed but...Urggg, too soon.
    ----------------
Conclusion, Life is worth Living now.

Does the mod slow down the game considerably between turns? Looking at the very impressive list of improvements, I'm reminded of another mod I tried which tok a minimum of five minutes or so just waiting for the ai factions to take their turns. Since then I've been wary of mods using larger maps.

If not I'll have to figure out how to download it on my crappy dial-up.

No doesnt slow it down, or if it does it isnt noticeable. Slows down the overall rate of the game though, changing it to 2 turns per year and increasing the cunstruction times of buildings. Nice note is the scripting doesnt need to be manually activated.

Overall probably one of the better mods out for M2TW atm. At the least one of the more complete ones.
Wine is a bit different, as I am sure even kids will like it.

Mmmmmmm, when I heed its information page, this mod appears to be a splendid one. 'thas been a while since I tasted M2TW and I have not yet used the latest patch (-- the second one). It is very difficult to... resist... installing... must... not... arrrgh. It brings me shame to even have this desire of playing M2TW dominate me. I must restrain myself.

No slowdown at all. I've been wary of bigmap mods because of that one I've played but it must have been something else.

I hadn't even thought of the script activation thing. It is nice not having to click the advisor at the start of every game session.

Must admit it looks pretty interesting, not sure about the logic for paying for seiges though. What is that supposed to represent?

@Didz : I suppose it's akin to your idea of making troop upkeep higher in foreign lands to reduce blitzing. Or maybe it's meant to represent the added difficulties of maintaining an idle army that needs food, housing, "entertainment", the need for a "military police" of some sort to keep a modicum of order because boredom, idleness and edged weapons don't mix well and so on.

I must say this mod does look very good on paper - I had already read their wikipage some time ago, but didn't download it in the end because it really sounds like an entirely new game to learn and figure out
Anything wrong ? Blame it on me. I'm the French.

    @Kobal2fr
Either that or possibly the cost of hiring all the local labour for making seige engines, ladders and digging seige works etc.

its not quite the same as my idea in that it doesn't kick in until a seige is started whereas my penalties would apply as soon as an army crosses the border.

I tried DL'ing this from the primary and alternate and was getting horrifically low DL numbers (25-30kb). Busy server or just bad site to download from?

Anyone have an alternate DL link?

This looks really good and quite in depth.

I'm in the middle of a LTC moors campaign at the moment but am interested in people's experience of this mod - AAR anyone?

I'm wary of longer campaigns because of brigands. In vanilla M:TW2, killing brigands gets extremely tedious once your empire grows large enough that I try to conquer and finish the game as fast as possible to reduce the brigand whack a mole.

looks like the next build of this is going to be the bomb - with a tweaked and more aggressive AI

sounds like the current version is a bit passive on the camp map
