What format is the data in?
What version of Excel are you using?
Number of columns of data would be useful.
Do you know how to use the data filter?
5000 lines is rather small... I have to use multiple Excel spreadsheets as Excel caps out at 65000 ish (its a 2 to the power thing that even in 2007 they haven't increased).
Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.
