Thread: Rorarii Rule

    Default Rorarii Rule

    Just wanted to say that

Just campaigning around, tried out some of teh more "expensive" troops as they became available and have found that my tried and true rorarii infantry get the job down quite nice...

I always keep triarri on hand for counter horse manuevers and to relieve the rorarrii units as needed, but those rorarrii, so far, are teh best "bang for the buck" infantry in the republic....

They are pretty awesome. But they can't dent heavy infantry and when they face things that cause fear if you don't have a good general they are hard to keep in line.

hahahaha well im sorry i just dont agree with you, if you really want bang for the buck the framejarhoz or any of the regional phalangite(machimoi or pantadopoi)in my opinion are far better and well the framejarhoz are quite cheap for heavy infantry!

They are good enough to hold the line, which is what they're there for (if necessary- reserves). Once you hit Polybian, rorarii are just rebel scum though.

long long ago the time i used them. i can hardly remember. they are the guys looking like coneheads with their helmet on their heads, arent they? didnt use them much in battle. not much use if the enemys armies consits basically of experienced soldiers and elite.

I have always thought that they did a decent job considering how cheap they were.
