I've just been on a read through the MTW archives and found two threads (there are perhaps more) on princesses and inheritance. These are some points/questions that I've gathered.
1) You must marry someone else's princess to have any hope of getting her family's land. Here's a question though. Must she be married to the actual king at the time (who dies)? I would think so. With a king and several heirs, how can you tell which one she married? I suppose you can figure it out by checking every one of them each turn until the wedding. Of course, this has never happened to me (inheritance).![]()
2) Did anyone ever find any definative info about your children born of a foreign princess (rather than local aristocrat) having better stats?![]()
3) I remember once reading somewhere that the only real consequence from inbreeding is your own sense of self loathing!! The related vices seem to be random any way.![]()
4) If your king dies with no sons or brothers, BUT one of your generals is married to one of your princesses, does he have any claim to be your hier? I may be wrong, but IIRC I have heard of that before.![]()
5) If your king dies without a MALE child (IOW, his heir is his brother), but he had a daughter married to another king, who may see his wife as the legitimate heir to her Dad's kingdom, is more likely to go to war with the knew king (his wife's uncle) to "liberate" her kingdom?![]()
