That's an interesting point, certainly from the perspective that CA benefit from the mods IMO, in that they increase both appeal and interest in their games, and thus sales, one would presume.

But when it comes to the big guys parting with the dosh, well that's perphaps a different matter.

well it could be considered a form of marketing. how much money is needed to run the website for the year?

i imagine a few hundred £'s would be nothing on the overall running costs of CA but could probably go a long way to helping EB out.
I seriously think it is something worth looking at. Are their lines of communication available? I know Lusted who posts here on the org has just started working for them for example.

If they started giving us money, then its reasonable for other mods to expect the same treatment. Slippery slope to CA supporting modding teams, which is not wise and isn't particularly good for us either. If individual CA members wanted to support our team we would welcome their donations as if they were any other fan, but the company supporting us is just not on the cards, and we wouldn't want it to be.

Just don't pursue this line of enquiry any further.

well along the lines of revenue raising, look at RTR 7, a lot of people have or are planning to buy barbarian invasion just for RTR, im sure if u ported to BI people would do the same, so CA cant deny Mods help raise revenue.

We've always said the final EB1 product would be playable with the last patched version of RTW though, so we are still working towards that end.

The status as I write is that $2591 out of $2600 is paid, and with my own donation of the last 9 dollars the site should disable the donation button once it's updated, for a while. Our reduced costs due to our two servers being consolidated into one will hopefully keep the balance good.

If you want to make a contribution but the current costs have already been covered, like now, please wait until the next month (not very far off this time). I would like to heartily thank all contributors .

I believe you can make payments from your regular bank account, by a credit or debit card. Paypal balance is of course easier if you have a paypal account.
