    Default Friendly neighborhood Spam thread

Hi fellas. While staff deals with the bad thread, feel free to spam here instead, so the offending thread gets no publicity - or headline space on the forum listings.

You guys can help, if you like.

The goal: Move the bad thread off page 1 of the E.Hall

How: find a thread below the bad one, and respond. If all you can think of is "spam", that's OK. Just apologize in your post.

Let's show this guy that we are united in maintaining a decent place here.

Gracias GdelaVelI. Was a bit of work (since I don't Mod here), but worthwhile, I think. E-Hall staff will dispose of the problem soon, I'm sure.

Well, all games have their merits. I'm personally inclined to go with Rome, since it's my favorite time period of the lot. How 'bout you guys?

    Great thread Kukri.
I love Medieval 2, I prefer the Medieval setting and the new graphics features, armour upgrades etc are just great. Rome was nice, but the improved graphics alone didn't make the setting that much better for me.
Medieval 2 has a lot more variety, bloom(I really like that as long as it's not overdone), more interesting units and of course a Medieval setting which I like a lot.

To be honest Shieldmaiden, I dont think I can go on playing MTW2 knowing you havent had the privilege yourself.

MTW because I can mod it.

Although Rome was sweet because I didn't have to buy it, a friend gave his to me, free stuff is always better.

Spam in latin? Wow, that's a difficult one...

I'd say "spamus, spami". But "quisquiliae" or "purgamentum" would work too, meaning wise (quisquiliae and purgamentum translate into "thrash, garbage, rubbish, filth", so considering the nature of spam, it would be okay).

    That's the reason.

Kukri took the matter in his own hands, by trying to move the thread back a page, so noone would see it immediately.
Of course, it's kind of...weird to see "Last Post by Kukrikhan" every thread, with a few minutes' interval.

MTW all the way! I like how the risk map is handled, and some of the mods are simply splendid.
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.

Certainly the AI handled the risk map better than the RTW/M2 version, but I must say I couldn't go back to MTW because of the battles.

I've gotten used to seeing my guys with extensive detail from really up close fighting it out with my enemies...

I much prefer the Risk style too, but I find RTW much easier to play, the Tech Tree, General traits, Unit hierarchy, and yes pretty Romans, etc.

On a different note, I'm convinced the next TW has to have female Generals in it. And a Faction called Spammia.

Maybe an expansion for M2 centered around the Viking expansion throughout Europe. Instead of becoming princesses, daughters of named characters who show a potential for fighting can become shieldmaidens.
