Removing Riders

i am trying to remove the riders from the armoured cathagian elephant. but i do not know how to do this .

please can someone help .

all crew are designated riders - do you mean the actual 'pilot' (as I call them)? If you refer to the whole crew of any given mount then you can make the units invisible by means of an alphared texture.

If you want riders but no pilot then you'll need to be more inventive. He will take the same form as the test of the crew, though you could reposition him to have him effectively disappear.

Note sure if this is what you mean - and perhaps a modeller (which I am not) ought to give you some advice too. ;)

Try to reduce the number of soldiers for the elephant in EDU, ie a 1:1 ratio

I want to remove all the people on the elephant so it would just be an elephant no people, also how do i give people alpa channels

Put this as your texture for the crew:

But find a tutorial for the future on alpha layers as you will need to know about them for editing textures.

I've been playing with invisible crew for a certain type of *cough* elephant, seems to work for that, though I did notice that a crew with an invisible alpha will still cast a shadow at an intermediate viewing distance, so you do need to try and get them within the bulk of the mount if pos.

Other irritating thing is if the, *cough*, elephant unit is the captain unit in a battle and your theoretical leader is killed, you get a nice slow motion video clip of your normal infantry type captain dieing, generally by apparently falling out of the sky!

If anyone has any ideas how to fix that it would be appreciated....

We do not have them active.

Also, does shrinking the scale of the rider's skeleton or playing with the extra 2 figures on the soldier line diminish/remover the shadows?

I will try tommorow. but for the moment i have managed to make invisble riders for dragons

Hmm...I'm confused as to why you would have a place for riders to sit on the dragon and then make them invisible ???

I simply replaced the elephant with the dragon model and skin and wanted to know how to remove the riders .

i was wondering would it be possible to mark elephants as ground infantry so the have no riders

P.S The dragons come from blue lotus
