Only officers and one mount uses 512x512, all others use 256x256.

It seems most mods have moved to 512x512 for their skins. Is there a reason EB is keeping them at such a low res?

It's hard to keep the skinners/modellers from it now it seems though. Especially if MTW2 is sitting there in front of them too.
By all means, give them them free to increase the resolution.
P.S.:I'm curios if someone got my lame movie reference
But when EB2 comes around the textures will have to be changed to higher resolutions (I hope it's not as hard as starting from scratch)
Well, skin whise I don't think they'll have much trouble porting the skins to MTW2... I don't think they'll need to redo anything in that department...

Well I believe the plan is to redo all units in MTW2 anyway, the models will need changing, which will necessitate changing the skins. We won't do this directly, we will simply import our RTW work into MTW2, and then slowly redo the units one by one.Originally Posted by Redmeth
