After realizing that R:TW doesn't work very well on my computer, I decided to install M:TW again, and get this mod for it. So here's my predicament...

I have M:TW Gold Edition (which is already patched), and I installed HTW to the correct directory (C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Medieval - Total War - Gold Edition). I deleted the unnecessary files, and made sure I didn't delete any HTW stuff. So it would seem that I was in the clear, but....


When I put my M:TW Gold Edition disc in, and click the HTW icon, I get this message:

"Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application"

.....but I put the right disc in......

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? And if you do, please help me out!

Hi - I have no experience with MTW Gold, but your problem may be related to what's discussed here

I had that problem a couple of nights ago, but my version of MTW is the 2.01 Eras pack version.

The installer we both downloaded may be corrupt.
