    Right. Is this another urban legend, or is there some proof of this?

    I don't have a dog in this fight, being a Deist. But still, something about this story reeks of urban legend.

    Being a history student, I'd say it's more than a urban legend. There has been some books written on the topic (serious books, not harry potter style).

    It's NOT proven, of course, the church ROCKS at hiding stuff.... But plenty of things points to the theorys correctness.
