And please don't make crass assumptions as to what I do or don't know, thank you. Regardless, this is off-topic for the thread and I'm not going to pursue it.
As for the Byzantine general ability, I seem to recall what it did was make the enemy unit become disorganized and uncontrollable for a time. Useful, but not as simple and powerful as turning an entire regiment of Gothic Knights to the dark side and watching them butcher their comrades in arms.
But Danes are insignificant to this history, they are there just because they are there, to make more stir on the map. Just like HRE, poland is active player in this history and only new thing what we get is hanza merchant guild.
if poland could team up with lithuania and it will get them both new heavy units then yes. it would be almost historically true. but no, here lithuania can become christian by itself. no polish-lithuania union, no lithuania-made king on polish throne but yes, a brand new heavy cavalry out from moon.![]()

The hero abilities only happen in battles, the Byzatine Emperor one is a bit strange to explain, and as it has not been explained in depth i'll wait until more info gets released on it.can you explain it better. im afraid of this ability.

http://www.gram.pl/felieton.asp?id=1613 polish developer published a news about beta tests of kingdooms. i know its giberish to you but i will try to post most important things and there are screenshots
Edit.
crusaider campaign: two christian kingdooms, antioch(supported by hospitalers) and jerusalem(supported by templars). Both kingdoms starts with money problems and no real military buildings.
britain campaign: everything look like in vi but much later in time. (england)saksons/mercs pwns everything, vikings are on very poor provinces, irleand dont have much chance.
america: massacre. As spaniards you fight more with plague than locals, because spanairds are to rich and can very easly reqruit pikemen and conquistadors from single village.
teutonic: playing as teutons is like kicking a newborn baby, their infantry frighen enemies.
some interesting screens:

Ok i try to write some more or one more time the same :) (no offence). The guy that tested it for public played every campaign with one faction. He played kingdom of antioch in crusaders campaign, wales in britain campaign, spain in america campaign and teutons in teutonic campaign.
In crusaiders campaign there are two christian kingdoms: antioch helped by hospitalers and jerusalem helped by templars. Bizantium isnt too well defended, turks have a large armies, but according to writer, they are no match for catholics. Crusaiders problem is cash, armies costs alot, we dont have even buildings to create decent units and we have lot of castles. Tester suggests to concentrate for sea trade and mercenaries.
In britania campaign he played welsh. Welsh armies are mainly spearmens and javelin skirmishers. Taking back wales territory is peace of cake since we fight for lv2 max settlements. Problems begin later when coming into england lands and to survive there we need to defend in those keeps and forts located all over the map because welsh forces are no match for english in open field. If it comes to other factions, scots and vikings have money problems and irish have weakest army and controls only southern and northern part of green isle.
America campaign is like a copy of age of empires 3. Diplomats are called explorers, spies - scouts and priests - missionaries. Strategic map is all in fog of war's black screen so we dont even know at first where lands are located. Mayans and azteks have different religions. If it come to battles, we assault wooden villages with artillery and only chances for natives are numbers :) The problems starts with plagues. There are many historical events like king granting a title or another expedition. Writer found two flops in this campaign: 1. spanish have too much cash, he dont have any money problems with only 1 village conquered, 2. spanish can train conquistadores and pikemen in villages when they should train only natives from there. Lets hope its only beta...
In teutonic campaign we can start as russian, teutons, lithuania or denmark. Others are norway, poland, hre and mongol-like guys that we call tatars. Russians are wealthy, with nice army but surrounded by danes, lithuania, tatars and order. Lithuania are weaklings withlarge territories. Danes are nothing specially new and teutons are the most powerfull. He writes that playing as teutons will be the easiest campaign in all tw series. He only noted about hanseatic league and special missions for escorting knights. Thats about all....
thanks a lot for the effort , icek![]()
