We do not sow.
Stir fry. Do you want a recipe?
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

what is it?

Prepare your ingredients by chopping them into small, easily cookable chunks. Heat your pan/wok on medium-low heat, then line with oil. Not too much oil, enough to line the cooking area of the wok will also be enough to coat the food. Add your ingredients in the order of how long they take to cook. Cover while you take a swig or two of beer. Turn the contents over so both sides get a chance to cook. Have another swig or two of beer. Season to taste, and stir it in evenly. Pour into dish and eat. Finish rest of beer.
Stir Fry Rice?
Cooked Rice, as much as you need/want, not too wet.
Ham/Chicken/Bacon/Lamb/etcetera in cubes.
Chilli, fresh or flakes, fresh is best.
Salt and Pepper.
Onion.
Peas.
Cooking oil, peanut tastes best in stir-fry.
Sesame oil is a huge plus if you have it.
Two eggs.
First cut your meat(s) and onion into small pieces.
Mix egg, salt, pepper and sesame oil (2 teaspoons should be enough) in a separate bowl.
Heat wok until slightly smoking.
Add oil to wok and then add the onion and some pepper.
Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until slightly brown.
Add rice and salt and stir well for 5-6 minutes.
Add peas, meat(s) and chilli and cook for 2-3 minutes, stir well.
Add egg and stir through the rice well, cook for 2-3 minutes or until egg is cooked.
Note: You can add soy sauce if you want, but I find it is too salty and is actually not traditional.
If the meat is uncooked put it in with the onion at the start.
If you want the egg to be in chunks not spread through the rice add it first and stir it as it cooks, once cooked remove it and start the process. Then add it once everything is done.

hehe, beer is good.![]()
I'll try to put a bit of flesh on it for you.
You will need;
Wok. Spatula.
Ingredients.
Sesame seed oil.
Onion.
Garlic.
Ginger.
Green and/or Red peppers.
Chilli [optional]
Soy sauce.
Some chicken or other meat cut into strips.
More chilli.![]()
You can add/subtract anything you want from the list. I like to use water cress sometimes.
Method.
Chop the onions.
Peel the garlic; very important; Crush the garlic with the flat of the knife (by hitting it very hard) before chopping.
Chop the ginger finely.
De-seed the sweet peppers and cut into strips.
You can either de-seed the chillies, () , cut them or use them whole.
Heat the wok until very hot. Add the sesame oil. Add the meat and cook on a high heat until almost cooked. Add the onions, peppers et al and cook again at a high heat. You must be stirring all the time, this is to stop any food sticking to the pan and getting burnt under the high heat. Add the soy sauce.
Et viola, stir fry ready to eat. Delicious.
From preparing to eating, about 20 minutes.
Oh, and don't forget the beer.![]()

allright ill try that some times.. now im going to eat mie (kind of pasta) chicken with sweet chili sauce and some vegetables... :P or maybe pancakes with cherryjam... not sure yet :P

Sunflower or peanut oil is preferable for their lack of flavour. Sesame oil is too strong for cooking with, and should only be used for seasoning. The aim is to let the flavour of the ingredients dominate, with perhaps a hint of smoky oil.Originally Posted by InsaneApache
A good alternative is to chop finely. I personally prefer to use ginger slices and chopped garlic, as garlic tastes good cooked while the ginger slice gives me something to chew on.Peel the garlic; very important; Crush the garlic with the flat of the knife (by hitting it very hard) before chopping.

I don't cook for one person, or, well, I generally cook enough food for myself that I will get a meal out of it the next day as well. The standard ration is cooked rice mixed with enough of tuna (in oil), peas, corn and other small, chopped veggies that go with the stuff. Just cook the rice and add the rest of stuff. Add salt and other spices as you see fit, though it's not necessary.
Maryland Ramen
* 1 part shrimp ramen flavoring
* 1 1/2 parts Old Bay seasoning
* Pre-steamed or imitation crab meat (optional)
Cook the ramen as normal, adding the crab meat to the boil if desired. Add in the shrimp flavoring packet and the Old Bay seasoning. Serve as a soup or on the side with crab legs or other seafood.
*I like the strong flavour and it's what the Chinese use.Originally Posted by Pannonian

** hmmm...the thing about crushing the garlic it that it breaks up the fibres before you chop, therefore when cooked it virtually melts into the food.
Still each to their own.![]()

Chicken Hawaii Special
One chickenfilet, marinade it and then bake it till its done and looking goldbrown. When it's done, you slice it open in the middle, than place a slice of ananas in it wrapped in a slice of ham. Than put the chicken on a plate and cover it with cheese. Put it all in the oven and wait for the cheese to melt. When the cheese is molten you can take it out.
Served with rice and vegetables, beans or sumthing...

Kinda beef teriyaki I suppose... had it tonight, just going through what was in the kitchenette.
Chop: Onion, beef - all into equivalent sized strips.
Fry: Onions until browned, sling in some sugar and the beef. Stir and stuff. Add a dash of soy sauce. Bit of pepper too...
Take out of pan and put on plate.
Eat.
Some rice or something seems to work with it. I also had scrambled egg'n'tomatoes.
Ultimate fast food for one: Omlette. Must be cooked in butter or it aint one.![]()

im pretty sure omelette is with milk... otherwise its just baking scrambled eggs... but hey... im not to fond of eggs with milk so ill just make m how i always make m...
3 eggs not scrambled, bacon, cheese.
bake the bacon a bit first, than put in the eggs, wait till the yellow part is almost done, put on the cheese... when its molten, add salt (not needed, the bacon and cheese flavour it good enough) and yur done.

Use 2/3 eggs and whisk, but not too long to stop breaking up the albumen which helps keep the egg 'glued' together. A generous knob of butter in a skillet. Do not overcook the butter. When the butter has melted add the whisked egg. Cook on a medium light until the egg has solidified. Now to turn the egg. You can put a plate over the skillet and tip the skillet over (over the sink is a good idea) then slide the half cooked omelette back into the skillet and cook the other side. Alternatively you can place the skillet under a grill to cook the other side, although, as butter is integral to the taste, I prefer the plate method.

Vuk's Bachelor Meal
This is what I used to eat for ever meal before I got married. :P
Instructions:
Turn skillet to high and put a wad of butter in the pan.
Once the butter is brown, turn the pan to low and crack four large chicken eggs into skillet.
When bubbles appear on the surface of the eggs, flip them with a spachula and hope for the best.
When thouroughly cooked, take out of pan and wash down with three 8 ounce cups of milk. :P
lol, it is not as bad as it sounds.

Everything you need to know about Kadagar_AV:
Something easy but still good when it's a hot summer day is a simple greek salad. It's easy and simple.
Something I also like is Pangasius filet with rice and curry and ananas (Fresh is still th best). Easy to make. Just bake the Pangasius filet in a pan, some spices and we've got our fish. Then a simple curry sauce and some rice simple but delicious.
What I also like to make is pasta with a mascarpone spinaze sauce. Some bacon (in small bands if that's the correct expression). Simple but awesome.
Ofcourse normal spaghetti is also easy to make. Just tomato sauce cans, some vedgetables ( carrots, those white mushrooms,...) and some spices.
And if you like a dessert Tiramisu is great and not so difficult to make. Mine is famous over here. (I've alway been more the guy of the desserts. Sex, sugar and rock 'n roll, that's my motto)
Too much sugar just makes for rolling.
Anyway TS, here is Fragony's easy way out yet god is it tasty.
Take pasta. Take oil. 5, yes 5, pieces of garlic. Cook pasta. Heat the oil. Drop in gralic. Don't bake the garlic. Take pasta, drop it into the oil. Put it on a plate, and throw a few flakes of real parmissan cheese on it. Serve with rucola (dunno translation) + oil + balsimico vinigar + roasted (gawd what are they called these nuts from pinetrees).
People will think you are a masterchef. Rightfully so.
Easy Meal...
Frozen Chicken Strips (just boneless chicken)
Vegetables
Shredded Cheese
Cook the Chicken for a while, add the vegetables. When both are about done, line the top with shredded cheese, and let the cheese melt. Serve with your favorite drink. It's truly simple to make, and tastes great.
