Ah, Prince Kutamun. He was slain by Conan himself in a pretty bloody scrap, but given Stygia's treacherous reputation I doubt he was the only rebel prince.

'The only two "whole" nations will be Hyperborea and Argos, because they could be able to annex rebellious Nordic/Zingaran provinces before their neighbours. **Same with Stygia, it could just nab Shemite/Black kingdom provinces before Pelishtia or Kush get their acts together.'Originally Posted by Taranaich
So Sytgia can have a rebel province or two and not just sttack the Black Kingdoms at the start!!! Might make it more balanced and interesting and challenging.![]()

Eh, why not. The regions can be made rebel relatively easily, once I get started on the map properly I can toy about with whatever seems most balanced for gameplay and Howardian accuracy. The "Keshatta" region of Stygia will probably be rebel, and I might add a few fictional rebel regions too. Not all the Black Kingdoms will be factions though, a couple of independent tribal settlements will be along the Stygian border. Normally Stygia would just send a general down to recruit tribal mercenaries, but if needed the settlements could themselves be taken over.Originally Posted by christof139
I might also give Hyperborea a few rebel regions in the north too, representing a few backwards Hyperborean communities that stick to the old nomadic lifestyle.

Yeah!!!!! And the Hyperborea and other places could have some wandering Rebel Ape-things or whatevers!!!! Monsters!!! Demons!!! Ghouls!!!
Out and about the countryside looking for fresh meat, shuffling around on their big nasty feet. Neat!!!

Hmmm, the Hyperboreans DID have problems with snow-apes early in their history, perhaps there could be an abandoned town or two in the north overrun by the beasts, a chance for the Hyperboreans to prove their military might and gain some experience for their armies![]()

Yup. Don't make too many of them wandering about though please, I don't want to be supper for any of the things.
