    Default Changing bridges to fords

    I have a question: how can I change all bridges on the campaign map to fords? I want to do this because I use EB with BI and I "discovered" that units with the swimming ability cannot cross the bridges, but they have no problems with crossing the fords.

    After the fords have become a bridge? Impossible, AFAIK.

    Before the start of a new campaign, you could try annd fiddle with the Map_Regions.tga. Try to give all fords to the Eleutheroi province of Terhazza. (Use the same colour as the one used to paint the Terhazza region.) Since no roads can exist in the Terhazza region, no roads can
    exist across fords, hence no bridges can exist.

    Yeah, however you could always reverse the problem: what about removing the swimming ability? That'd be merely a job of cutting out a multitude of pieces of code.

    It's just the fact that this ability makes ford battles (and even bridge ones, to some extent) more interesting and more difficult to the player, although I must admit that with EB battle system such battles are already harder than in the RTW Vanilla (but still too easy, but this is just RTW... =/).

    We looked into getting all bridges removed, and just having roads end at fords, but it doesn't seem possible. If we could do that, we'd do it in a heartbeat I think. So if someone can figure out how to make bridges turn into fords, but still have the roads all there, please let us know!

    We could make each and ever ford into a unique battlefield (like wonders) that always has the ford on the map, then change the strat model so that you can't see it. Would that work?

    It would take a lot of time and effort I think - there are tons of different types of fords actually. But it might work. If someone wants to try it out, go for it.
