Bad situation, please help

So yeah I'm doing really well, conquered a whole lot of people as Rome, etc., but whenever I click the "end turn" button, the game crashes, minimizing and bringing me back to my desktop so that I have to re-start from the last point I saved. Does anyone know of how I can fix this dilema, or am I basically screwed?
