    Default Public Order and Governors

I have been wondering about the effect of some governors' traits that affect Public Order...

Indeed, the Authoritarian line of traits (Firm Ruler, Strict Ruler), for example, has a penaltyon P.O. listed (+1 unrest) and a bonus (+2 law)

So what the point ? Why not list it simply as having a +1 bonus to PO ?

    Any and all ideas welcome...

The different factors that contribute to public order can be seen in the settlement details (advanced) scroll.

Traits like +1 unrest and +2 law effect different parts of the public order equation, as you'd expect.

However, many of these traits also effect other settlement traits (such as population growth), also shown in the breakdown.

So I guess the answer to your question is that things are not grouped simply into +/-PO bonuses because that would remove the depth of such traits, and their additional effects.

I'm guessing that +law helps your agents get good traits, esp merchants get "legal nouse" and avoid the "slightly crooked" line of traits.
