What was up with the Iberian Baktrian bodyguards?

I remember back in .80 sometimes the Baktrian body guard would be an Iberian one . What was up with that ?

That was a placeholder unit. The one that is in there now is the correct one for their early bodyguard. However, their late bodyguard....

abou I must have been on some really good drugs back then but I remember there being a problem of sometimes you would have the Iberian one and others you'd get the Early guard.

No, they were in 080. They were fixed for 081, though. I remember it was one of the repeating bugs that were reported just after the 080 release. It was a bug and it was fixed, there was no historical reason or secret behind it.
