If you have all the materials and the skills to make a costume, the major issue is trying to explain to people that you are
a.) a unit from a stategic war game
b.) to translate the name of the unit into a native language
c.) and that the game is historically accurate.
also imagine trying to make a costume to be a Hellenic cataphract? What wopuld you do for the horse?

I would go as a Macedonian Hetaroi! with my iron breastplate and mail underneath riding on my trusty steed! Everyone would fear me! Plus I would be carrying around a 10+ ft long spear so of course they will fear me.
