Default Simple question regarding sea trade

    Hey guys,

Found M2TW in the local pawn shop for $5. Trying to get into it now, got a simple question that I can't seem to find an answer too - apoligies if it's buried in the manual and I missed it.

Does a sea trade route require you to have a complete string of naval units creating a 'safe zone' for trade to occur, like it did in Medieval 1? Or do I just need to find the other ports and ensure they aren't blockaded?

Ack: Nevermind. Figures, after doing a quick look over of search results and seeing nothing, I make this thread, then find the answer. The truly helpful forumgoer helps themselves, I suppose.

No, thank god, but you do have to have Trade Rights with the nations that you want to trade with.

Basically, send out diplomats or when an AI nation sends one to you, ask for trade rights because they almost always will accept.
