Well the Noble Knights aren't in the campaign as they are identical to Chivalric Knights.

French Mounted Archers aren't in because frankly it is impossible to fire a longbow on horseback and the Frech already have a strong enough roster without HAs.

And i wanted to limit the French to 1 longbow unit - Scots Guard. So i removed the Dismounted French Archers.

This still leaves the French with Peasant Archers, Peasant Crossbowmen, Crossbowmen, Aventuriers, Scots Guard. Hardly lacking missile power.

You know, as amazing as it seems, it's perfectly possible to fire a longbow from horseback, and it was actually done. I know, it shocked me too when I first found reliable proof.

I should probably post this proof, but I'm far too lazy. ^_^ Besides, I don't think mounted longbowmen are very French "feeling", anyway, so I won't miss them.

Now I'm off to try this mod for the first time! Purely, unfortunately, to try to cheer myself up about the utter lack of grand campaign balance changes in Kingdoms. Bleah!

I'm going to be a picky sod (oh its not regular, is it? ), but, the English fielded the Mounted Yeomanry who did fire longbow from horseback, however, I wouldn't give the French them anyway as its Englands special weapon for the game, the French already have their superior cavalry.

Speaking of Scots Guard, I haven't played as the Scots yet but can they actually get them themselves?

    Great mod Lusted.

    edit:

I worked out my hotseat problem. I and am now enjoying a hundread year campaign as french against an english opponent. Small, tight campaign maps are the way to go, the only let down is the defending bug against AI Scottish.

After having shelved MTW2 for a long time (curse World of Warcraft and its addictive properties!), I've started playing again this weekend... and am browsing for mods...
This one looks very interesting, but I've already upgraded to v1.3, is this mod compatible with version 1.2?

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,

    Soulflame.

It is compatible with 1.3 (as are most/all 1.2 mods)

However, LTC 3.1 has CNP included, and has CTDs in the campaign from problems with the names. LTC 3.2 will be out eventually that will have vanilla names, and for those with kingdoms, LTC 4.0 is coming as well.
