Like i said, reinstall. And 1.2 is installed over the unpatched game.
Deleting files is only necessary if you use the unpacker. Don't remember the filenames, you should be able to find them somewhere on the forum or maybe someone else can name them.

it didn't go away. i t just went away last night. it's back today. still freezing... i am at a loss.
