Default Most Interesting Games Evar Played

Hey all, I'm interested in hearing about your most interesting campaign stories, long or short.

What I'm referring to could be anything: "I had a battle where 15 generals died. OMGZ".

Or, it could be that Mittens, the family cat, decided that it was "me time" in the middle of your siege on Constantinople, causing you to send all of your units into archer range while wrestling with the cat's attention-whoring talons of ...attention whoring. [I played too much World of Warcraft, everything has to be "of" something. Sorry.]

Or, it could be that the Scots kicked England out of the Islands, then proceeded to pull a reverse Viking and sail over to Scandinavia and poke the Danes, completely screwing with history as we know it.

Whatever you want, I just feel like laughing at the [I'm sure] ridiculous things that have happened to all of us while we've played the game.

My story is the reverse Viking. The Scots really did that, while I was playing as Venice on a long Campaign. I was proud of them.

Just fought a battle where the Byzantines sallied out of Naples against my attack. It was pea soup fog, with no archers on either side. The enemy brought about 700 militia spearmen in the castle and reinforcements of 120 horse archers, 120 heavy cavalry, and over 1000 peasants against my 500 assorted cavalry units.

So, of course, they had the onus to attack me, and wasted all their cavalry in a frontal assault far ahead of their infantry. The rest of the game was spent trying to rest my cavalry enough so they didn't get 'very tired' between breaking and sweeping up unit after unit of Byzantine idiots. My general's bodyguard had only killed about 150, but they had singlehandedly captured over a thousand men by the end of the fight.

So I'm forced to picture an immense mass of prisoners following 30 horsemen around, so cowed by their defeat that it doesn't occur to them they so dramatically outnumber my whole army they could probably beat them to death with their bare hands.

When the Julii empire was growing, the people of Corduba rebelled against our Julii people.

They rebelled. Our soldiers were forced to withdraw to outside the city. A full stack appeared. Everyone had bronce shields, that means they had a bonus on defense.

We sieged them, and we won a heroic victory. Sadly I dont have any screenshoots.

I don't have anything too sweet yet, but I had an army of two units of Julli Peasants in a conquered Carthage town and Carthage sent a force to retake it. Being very new to the game, I decided to launch an attack on his troops. They turned out to be one unit of militia and one unit of slingers. I sent my captain's unit against the slingers (hoping for a quick victory ) and had my other unit try to draw off his militia unit. WELL...... I followed my captain's unit closer and saw them suffer 60% casualties, but managed to route the slingers and kill nearly all of them. Now, here is the odd part: I went back to find my other peasants and found them happily standing... surrounded by dead guys! They took like 35% casualties, but I guess the enemy routed and so they chased them down and caused around 55% to them! Go figure!
