By the way, any game for me with awsome graphics is a good game, andy with bad graphics just suck. Also I took a look at Company of Heros, that seems like a good RTS as well. Could I get some opinion on which is better? CoH or Dawn of War. ( I also don't know if my laptop can handle CoH )

Well DoW is about 3 yearsold, so it's graphics are a bit dated. And you laptop can't handle CoH. My PC, which is no slouch, goes into jet fighter mode (the power supply and video cards go into overdrive) when running CoH. DoW looks great.

Here are a few promo shots from the first expansion (that added the Imperial guard)

Here is a shot from BFME2, my own.

And some from CoH, also my own.

Wow, thanks for those images, but CoH still looks awsome, maybe I can wait a little longer for my PC to come back to me before buying CoH.

I play DoW on my laptop that uses shared memory for the video card... it runs like a dream most of the time and the graphics aren't bad either.

I bought DOW when it came out and didn't think much of it, it's much the same as the rest, get resources, build troops and rush the enemy.

I guess its like Star Wars, you either like or you don't <- One of the most useless statements ever.

No, you are probably right - a lot of my affection for the game is my pre-existing interest in 40k. The game does a very good job of catching the spirit and detail of the miniatures.

Without that, it would be the pretty much the same old RTS, but just done rather well IMO. It does have some "tactical" elements that make it more tolerable - including cover and morale - and the combat has a pretty strong RPS element, while the resource gathering is rather under the hood and the building aspect is well done. The combat is not Total War, but then no other strategy games seem to be able to match that.

Well, I'm just going to buy the Dawn of War Plantium set, with all the expansions, and fill my boredom for a month of so till I get Kingdoms.

Company of Heroes often overworks my video card if my drive has been going long enough.

Dawn of War is gruesome but I have to tell you, Relic holds nothing back

I suggest you get Dawn of War and see how that boot fits.
If it's good and runs, then try for CoH. It's $30 locally now.
If it doesn't, then you can always get the expansions...

    Have you just been dumped?

I ask because it's usually something like that which causes outbursts like this, needless to say I dissagree completely.

I think DoW has decent graphics, you can judge the screenshots. However, I feel this game looks much better in motion, the rather brutal animations certainly add something.

I suggest you download a demo and check it out.

If you want to make sure if you can run it, try out the demo:

Thats the one for CoH, I never played DoW so I can't comment on that, but I like CoH as well!
Oh, and if you have a problem finding one of those games they are both (CoH and DoW) available through Steam!

It's just I find it really buggy. It screws up often on my PC. I probably should dl the patches.

I love DOW though, it gets a bit repetitive after a while though.
