As i mentioned to you guys in the original EOD thread, looking good!
You considering ahving more factions this time round to fill the map up a bit better? Admitadly, i found EOD to have too many rebel regions (i know you intended there to be a lot) but when you were playing shambhala it was just over the top!

Um, not really though the rebels will be somewhat more interesting in parts! You considering ahving more factions this time round to fill the map up a bit better? It's being done as separate provincial campaigns for each faction, so I could throw in an extra free-for-all one with the starting positions advanced for everybody, will see how that goes.

This is a shot of the original concept for the map, the basic idea was to create a world centred around a huge river with various islands dotted along it's course, as there will be few if any pirate ships the ability of the AI to launch sea invasions is greatly improved, something which we found in EOD I made game play far more unpredictable, The town's and villages are some, but not all of the settlements included in game.
This is a later concept map made for various bit of 2d artwork within the mod, here you can see a basic layout of the starting positions of each faction.
And so on to a few shots of the in game map..which is still in a work in progress (wip)

The Guardians of Meta, These great statues are said to depict 'Medaas' and 'Endross' the founders of the two great houses of Rahala and Severin, twin sons of 'Moloch' the first great emperor of the Vampyre nation. As boys they formed a great hatred of each other as arguments over who was the true heir to their fathers throne grew. However during the first war with the Lycans, Medrass and Endross Led a great charge from the city gates of 'Metatron' to break the ten year siege it had been under, driving the Lycan army back into the sea and forever burning their names into Vampyric history. Unfortunately neither brother survived the battle so Metatron became a holy city for Vampyres who worshipped the Sun god Setis.
Very nice!
How did you guys get the battlefield to change color all over? I tried making Mordor landscape but all the ground outside of the map (over the red borders) would not change, they kept being the same as before. Although the land inside the map seems to be changed fine.
hehe are you sure you want to know? It took about a week of pulling hair out to get volcanoes with little bit of red on top...

he has added an excel sheet that gives the location of some of the coded bits that is very handy!
If you just want to change all the edge of map colours to same thing its actually quite easy - its three figures coded in hex file between each texture line - its trying to get varied ones to turn up in right places that's complete pain in the butt. PM me or stick question in Modding Q's if you want more advice. (I'll swap you for some advice on 'elephant' trolls)
